At Mini Cowpers Preschool we cater for up to 23 children per session, who range from 2 to 5 years - although most of our children move on to nursery the academic year before they are due to start school.
We know that, for your child, preschool is often their first step away from home and we try to make this transition as happy and as smooth as possible. Before children begin their sessions with us, we work with parents / carers to get a good understanding of where their child is at developmentally - and what makes them an individual. This helps us give them the best opportunity to progress and develop in the way most appropriate for them.
All of our staff are warm and nurturing, and we provide consistent care and support through a key worker system. They also work hard to maintain our secure and enabling environment.
We offer home visits to children before their start date to familiarise them with their keyworker and the preschool manager.
We make sure that all children are offered equal opportunities and we celebrate diversity within an exciting and vibrant atmosphere of self respect and self confidence.
We foster a holistic approach to learning, which helps children to settle quickly and play happily and considerately with their peers. Children are encouraged to develop independence and confidence through a range of challenging activities, preparing them with the competency skills necessary for the next phase of their education.
We use online journals as a continuous record of each child’s skills and achievements whilst at preschool. Parents are encouraged to share achievements and showcase their child's learning at home using Tapestry.
Afternoon Session 11:45 - 15:00
Monday – Friday
Each session is charged at £8.00 per hour, per child. Snack is included in the fee during a morning session.
We do ask parents for donations towards the childrens' snack.
